Hello my name is Takia Bridgeforth and I am the lead teacher at Ms. P’s Child & Family Services. I am 27 years old and currently enrolled at University of District of Columbia obtaining my bachelors degree. I’ve been working in childhood for about seven years. I truly enjoy working with children. My coworkers called me Mouthy Mainey because I am always sitting and communicating with my infants. I enjoy building the vocabulary skills that will help the children properly develop. I am currently working with toddlers ages 24 to 36 months. I love the joy and trust I receive from my scholars and their families. Most importantly I love working together for the sake of the children. I believe that students develop socially and academically when there is a laid foundation. I enjoy delivering fun lesson plans and activities for the children.

My name is LaNiya Lewis, and I have been working in the childcare field for the past four years. I began my journey through the Mayor's Summer Youth Program, where I supported local daycare centers and family childcare programs. That experience inspired my passion for early childhood education and helping children grow through learning and playing.
I am currently proud to serve as an Assistant Teacher with Ms. P's Child & Family Services while pursuing my Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, which I will complete within the next seven months.
I truly enjoy working with children — singing new songs, exploring creativity, and helping them discover their unique talents each day. As both a mother and caregiver, I take pride in supporting the next generation and believe that the children we nurture today are the leaders of tomorrow. This work gives me purpose and continues to strengthen my own journey as a parent and educator.
